Manipulative people tend to sway their personal opinions, always see their own side of the situation and may allow you to say your own opinion because they always push theirs.

There’s no denying the fact that relationships are complicated whether you’re talking about friendships, family relationship or romantic encounters. The relationship in our lives can either enrich or mar our experience on Earth or make it terrible.

It may be hard to know whether someone is manipulative upon meeting them for the first time. Unfortunately, their selfishness goes unnoticed until you have become too involved in their lives. Once they get too close to you, they do whatever they can to keep you for the sake of using you to achieve their aim.

  3. Manipulative people flatter to seduce and give gifts to trap you in.
  4. Instead of face to face communication, manipulative people prefer to communicate their messages through other people or intermediaries.
  5. They are very good at meeting their own goals at the expense of others.
  6. They often wait until last minute or when it is too late to ask you to do something.
  7. A manipulative person make you to do something that is against your wish.
  8. A manipulative person is selfish and self-centered.
  9. A manipulative person interprete facts to suit him or her and make false statement to unravel the truth.
  10. Manipulative people satisfy their needs by the moral principles of their victim(s).
  11. Manipulative people know how to make themselves in to victims in other to gain the sympathy of other people.
  12. Manipulative people are good at causing relationship break-up by creating division among couples, friends and family members.
  13. Manipulative people pursue what they want relentlessly and little or no regard for whoever get hurt along the way.
  14. Manipulative people sees nothing wrong with refusing to take responsibility for their actions but want others to take responsibility for theirs.
  15. Manipulative person only care about what you care for them.
  16. Manipulative people will convince you to drop something important to you with the aim of making you more dependent on them.
  17. A manipulative person cast into doubt the skills, qualities and personalities of other people.

Knowing the characteristics or traits of manipulative people can prevent you from getting trapped in a manipulative relationship. Being alert, staying in touch with what you know to be truth about yourself and anticipating what is to will enable you to avoid conflicts or misunderstanding and maintain your integrity.

The worst thing about being stuck in a manipulative relationship is that it make you doubt the genuineness of others.

Manipulative people can only ruin you if you allow them. Learn how to stand up for yourself.
